Venom is first and foremost a strong community of ultimate players. Starting our 11th year as a womxn's club ultimate team, we're excited to continue to be a center for womxn's ultimate in AZ, creating space to value and empower female, and those who identify as female, players. Expect a team experience that enables growth as players and people – that is both competitive and fun. Venom’s culture builds on the collective strength and experience of our players and fosters creative, dynamic Ultimate Frisbee.

Venom 2023 Information

Women's Open Practice Tuesdays

If you're interested in playing with other women and female-matching players, and improving your skills, join our Tuesday night practice, 7-9pm, with ladies on the Venom squad. Practices will include lots of touches with the disc with small-sided games, skill-building, and a good workout. Contact Lisa Shipek to learn more about joining Tuesday Practice.   

Venom Captains & Leadership Announced!

Venom's captains this year are Courtney King and Erin Prucha, very experienced players with many years of Venom under their belt. The other ladies helping organize the team, also known as the Junta, include seasoned Venom players Anita Richert, Erin Gray, Kyria Kershner, and Lisa Shipek. Lisa Shipek will be running practices and conditioning with the help of other guest coaches. 

2023 Tournaments

Tournaments slated for this year include Select Flight Invite West, July 15-16, Ski Town Classic August 19-20, and Sectionals and Regionals in September. We will also be planning scrimmages with the new Phoenix women's team Haboob.
